Works from some 40 artists are highlighted in 61 captioned color plates with brief profiles of the artists, including furniture by Wendell Castle and Sam Maloof, textiles and fiber art by John Garrett and Cynthia Schira, jewelry and metalwork by Earl Pardon and Joyce J. Scott, and ceramics by Robert Arneson, Viola Frey, Adrian Saxe, and Toshiko Takaezu. Additional works are seen in two essays and the illustrated checklist of all 170 items in the exhibition.
