Description: This is a unique collection of more than 90 of June Carver Roberts’ naturalist drawings and paintings of spring wildflowers. All were done from living plants, in minute detail, with complete botanical accuracy. The text enables the reader to easily locate the flower in its natural setting, and includes the origins of the common and botanical names, and bits of history and lore connected with the flowers. Roberts is a winner of the John Marin Award for her drawings and watercolors, many of which are in the permanent collections of the Butler Art Institute, the Akron Art Institute, and the Huntington Museum.
